It’s Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. Everyone is getting
ready to close up shop for the weekend when a customer
calls. She was expecting a package with your company’s
products earlier this morning. She needs these items
first thing on Monday morning for a customer of her own.
Yet,it still hasn’t arrived. She wants to know where it
is, when it was sent and when it’s going to arrive.
Here’s what happens without shipping software. You
panic. It’s 3:10 p.m. now and you’re pretty sure the
guys in the warehouse who handle shipping are gone. They
have a crazy system for tracking packages that only they
understand. Besides, you’re not even sure it got to them
to ship out. You gave it to your assistant’s assistant
to take care of on Wednesday. You have no idea where the
package is, when it went out or if it even left the
building. With all this information unknown, you have to
tell her you have no idea when it’s going to arrive. She
is understandably furious.
Here’s what happens with shipping software. You are
calm, cool and confident. You fire up the software, and
enter the shipping number she was given when she
ordered the package. Up pops all the information. You
can tell her it was sent on Wednesday and it’s still in
transit. If it doesn’t arrive within the next hour, it
will be there at 6 am on Monday morning. This arrival
time was specified when the package was ordered. You
know all this because your software tells you so. She is
happy with your answer and feels reassured that it will
be there on time.
Which scenario do you want to go through? Shipping
software is the most efficient way to handle all
shipping and delivery matters |
