A business can only be as good as the people employed to
run its operations. While each employee is a link in
the chain, it’s not always easy to find the best new
link to make the chain stronger.
Recruiting software is designed to assist larger
corporations in their hiring process. It can be used for
internal or external hires. This software application
documents the course of resumes, manages job
descriptions, calculates the cost of hires and reports
on key pieces of information. Recruiting software used
at an internal level is not usually available to
third-party employment recruiters.
Take a look at this scenario in which recruiting
software might be useful. Two young go-getters are
hired fresh out of business school in entry level
positions. After several months, one is constantly
showing up on the recruiting software database as
interested in every position that becomes available.
The software also shows that the other has never applied
for any positions. Then, they both apply for a new
position.
All other factors being equal, which person does the
business want to move up and take on work and
responsibility? Does the business want the one who has
shown an enthusiastic interest in advancing in the
company or the one that seems to be waiting for the
right position to come along? Either might be
desirable depending on what exactly are the values of
the employer.
Recruiting software takes out the guesswork. It makes
sure the strongest links are rewarded by advancing them
in the company, and adds stronger links where a weaker
one might have existed before. |
