Quoting software can be as complex or as simple as the
user needs it to be. No matter how complicated, this
type of software is the most efficient and quickest
method for obtaining a customer price.
At the most simple end, it may resemble a basic
spreadsheet. But this method might only be as good as
the employee guessing at the prices he or she enters
into each field. Without standards, quotes might vary
too widely and too often. More complex software can
bring up the actual price of goods and services to
determine a more accurate quote.
You could always guess at a price. But take a moment to
think about what might happen. You quote a customer with
a very low price. He or she likes the offer because it’s
the same work for so much cheaper than the competition.
What is the reaction going to be when the project or
product goes way over the quoted price? He or she soon
begins complaining about this problem to other
prospective clients.
So in order to not repeat this mistake--your company
starts quoting prices that are way too high. It stops
winning any contracts because the competition has
quoted a fair and reasonable price for the same work.
Either way there is lost revenue for you and your
business. Quoting software makes sure this money stays
where it belongs with you! |
